ORGANIC JUICE & VEGETABLE - BIOTTA I

Tuesday, November 23, 2010 by Jennifer C
About a year ago I decided that I wanted to make sure I was getting all of the recommended vitamins and nutrients so I began to buy vitamin supplements.  It started off with just a Vitamin C supplement to ward off colds,  then Vitamin D because I'm never in the sun, a multivitamin because, well, because I thought I should, Vitamin A to help protect my eyes, a pro-biotic to help regulate my stomach, and the list went on.  Before I knew it, I was spending upwards of $100 a month to keep my body full of the desired nutrients.

Luckily I discovered
Biotta Pure Organic Juice and have not only saved money, but I am still getting those same results that I sought with the vitamins.  By drinking some of Biotta's Breakfast Juice, I was able to obtain the Vitamin C to help keep myself healthy, Biotta Breuss Vegetable Juice fulfilled my vitamin D needs, Biotta Carrot Juice replaced my Vitamin A, and Biotta Potato Juice helped to soothe and regulate my stomach like a pro-biotic would.  Not to mention the countless other vitamins and nutrients that I am getting as well.  So instead of taking a handfull of pills in the morning, I get to enjoy the refreshing taste of Biotta Juices and save money at the same time!!

Taking a test can be one of the most nerve-racking experiences for a child (or, for that matter, an adult) but there are ways that you can help them achieve that - beyond the obvious studying.  In addition to getting plenty of sleep and being physically active, it is important to have the proper nutrients in their diet.  These nutrients and vitamins can help improve memory and stimulate brain function.

Some of these important nutrients are found within the bottles of
Biotta's Pure Organic Juices. Antioxidants improve the flow of oxygen throughout the body and brain.   Antioxidants like Vitamin C, E, and Beta Carotene are found in many of Biotta's Juices but specifically in the fresh tasting Carrot Juice.  So give your child an added boost to their brain and in turn to their self esteem by giving them the nutrients to help them succeed.

Fertility problems plague many couples in the United States today and I can personally relate to how frustrating these issues are.  Trust me, I have tried everything in the book including watching my diet, sleeping 8 hours a night, regular exercise, vitamins, etc.  One thing that I wish I had known then is that there is also a tasty and healthy juice that can help do the trick.  That juice is potato juice!!!

Biotta has been making Pure Organic Potato Juice for years because of its stomach and digestion helping qualities.  Potato Juice helps to restore alkalinity within our bodies to a more neutral level.  Our standard diets have a  lot of acid containing foods that make for a hostile environment for pregnancy.  With the help of Biotta's Potato Juice everyday you could be one step closer to that little bundle of joy!

Hosting a big Thanksgiving dinner or planning a Christmas Eve soiree?  Chances are that someone there will be suffering from a nagging cold or have the beginning of a flu.  Why not give everyone an early Christmas present by making a punch that packs a punch, a punch of antioxidants and immune system boosters that is.  In order to create this delicious Holiday Punch you will need Biotta's Elderberry Juice, Biotta's Breakfast Juice, a 2 liter of lemon lime soda, and orange slices.

Mix 6 cups of Biotta's Elderberry Juice with 10 cups of Breakfast Juice and pour in half of the lemon lime 2 liter.  Stir and add sliced oranges to the top for a fancy look.  The best part is that when people rave about your unique and delicious drink you can tell them that your juice also helps relieve cold and flu symptoms as well.  Won't you be a great host/hostess?

What is it with kids and juice?  Every time I turn around there's a sippy cup smacking my knee with an innocent little face wanting more juice.  The problem?  I want to make sure that I am giving my kids the best juice possible and not flavored sugar water which is what a lot of juices are made of these days.  For a long time I just tried to avoid anything that said cocktail, ade, or punch.  These generally meant little to no nutritional value.

But luckily I have found
Biotta's Pure Organic Juices so I no longer have to be the juice sleuth.  Not only does Biotta tell you exactly what is going into their juice but it is all organic and no sugar added.  All of their juices also have no artificial color or flavor so you know they are getting the most nutritious pure juice.  Just one less thing that I as a mom have to worry about when they ask for more.

We see them on tv, in magazines, and on the silver screen; models and actresses who appear to have perfectly flawless and illuminating skin.  Want to know their secret?  And no, it's not expensive and painful microdermabrasion or $500 bottles of lotions and potions -- the answer is really quite simple and delicious -- carrot juice!

Biotta Pure Organic Carrot Juice doesn't include any additives and study after study has shown its benefit to the skin.  One of the best ways to ensure our skin's health is to keep it hydrated with plenty of moisture by drinking water and carrot juice.  Carrot juice is used to repair skin as well because it promotes the healing of skin tissue.  As one study revealed  "Carrot juice is a valuable source of Vitamin A, which is a major vitamin for skin health. Carrots are rich in antioxidants, including phytochemicals, vitamins and minerals, which protect, nourish and moisturize the skin. Nutrition received from carrots helps to reduce photo-sensitivity to promote skin renewal and protect the skin from sun damage."

So stop spending hundreds of dollars on creams and procedures that claim to renew your skin's vibrant color, and order a few bottles of
Biotta Carrot Juice.  In no time, people will be clamoring to know your youth restoring secret!

I love Biotta Beet Juice. My very favorite way to drink it is to mix the juice of one fresh-squeezed lemon, 6-8 oz. Biotta beet juice, and 4-5 oz. seltzer water. This drink is so delicious I actually crave it and consider it a treat, and, it's healthy. Try it for yourself!

In this trendy world we live in one of the biggest trends is energy drinks.  We live in a society where time means money and the more you can get done is key.  While I realize that there is no point to stand in the way of progress there is a considerably healthier way to achieve the same effects without the same side effects.

Biotta Organic Juices has introduced an Energy Juice that is made form 100% juice.  This juice provides natural energy for your body and increases alertness.  They do this by taking the extract from organic guarana bean which is as stimulating as caffeine but easier on your stomach.  Unlike the other energy drinks Biotta Energy Juice has no added sugar or preservatives.  So start a new and healthier trend and bypass all the hype associated with your typical energy drink.

What do birth control pills, bottled water, chewing gum, Chinese food, x-rays, and pesticides all have in common?  All of these (along with a massive list of other things) are all supposed contributors to causing cancer.  It seems like everywhere you turn these days, there is another thing that can cause cancer, but I, for one, am going to do what I can to fight back.

Luckily, I have discovered Biotta Sauerkraut juice.  Sauerkraut has a soothing effect on the stomach and is low in calories, but according to sauerkraut.com , it contains a large amount of cancer fighting agents and slows cancer growth.  With all of the benefits, I figure you have nothing to lose, so take your first step in the fight against cancer.

When looking for a juice that seems to do it all, and contains nutrients that you didn't even know you need, look no further than Biotta's Potato Juice.  With it's stomach-soothing abilities and surprisingly pleasant flavor, this juice could be a real life saver for those suffering with gastrointestinal issues.  I often believe that "it's all in the name" of the product, and here's the proof:

P- Peanut Free

O- Organic
T- Trans Fat Free
A- Alcohol Free
T- Total Fat is 0g
O- Offers relief

While all of Biotta's juices are delicious on their own or poured over ice, often times, people wonder if they can sneak it into other things as well.  Maybe you just want to change it up or are afraid you won't drink all of your juice (not usually a problem) or want to get your kids to eat healthier without them even knowing it.  One of the ways that I have found my Biotta juices to be useful in the kitchen is especially when cooking soups.  Canned vegetable stock has loads of sodium and a rather bland flavor.  When cooking vegetable soup or stew, chicken soup, and potato soup, I have found that replacing the stock with a mixture of potato, celery, and carrot juice brings out a more natural flavor and adds vitamins and reduces the sodium throughout.  So whether you are pouring yourself a big glass to drink, or cooking with the nutrient packed juices, feel rest assured that you are getting 100% organic, healthy juice.

If you're like most of us, you suffer from pain of some kind or another. Many of us reach for our over the counter or prescription pain medication to help alleviate our symptoms.  But have you ever turned the bottle over and looked at the possible side effects? Nausea, constipation, depression, and sluggishness to name a few.  Wow, I think I'll just deal with the pain - thank you very much.  Luckily, there is an alternative, where you don't have to choose between pain and the side effects and it's as simple as vitamin C.  Studies have shown that vitamin C greatly reduces pain in your joints and helps slow arthritis pain.  At Biotta, we offer a Vegetable Juice Cocktail that is loaded with vitamin C, low in calories and tastes great.  So put down the pill bottle and pick up your juice bottle and pour yourself a toast to your health!

I'll be the first to admit that I am not the best carrot eater.  In fact, I detest everything about carrots from the crunch to the flavor.  So it certainly surprised me when I tried Biotta's 100% carrot juice.  Holding my nose, expecting the worst, I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth and mild flavor of this colorful juice.  I was so caught up in the experience that I nearly forgot all the good that I was doing for my body.  Carrot juice is rich in natural beta carotene, which is an essential nutrient to preserve our vision.  It also prevents skin disorders, and amazingly, recent reports have shown that it aids in cancer prevention.  So order a bottle of this delicious juice for your entire family and watch in astonishment as your children drink up their vitamins.

A Healthier Cocktail
Wednesday, October 20, 2010 by Jennifer C
There are two things I know for sure:

1.) Over 70% of Americans are not getting their daily
recommended amount of fruits

and

2.) Almost everyone loves happy hour.

While these are seemingly two unrelated topics, I have found a way to solve both of these issues into one, easy-to-make and delicious drink.  The benefits that come from Biotta's breakfast juice are endless, and at only 120 calories a bottle, it is considerably better on the waistline than drinking soda or other fruit juices.  By using this juice as a way to mix up a good cocktail, you are getting to enjoy your happy hour and giving your body the nutrients it needs at the same time.

The simplest and most tasty concoction that I have found is mixing 2 cups of Biotta's breakfast juice with 1 oz of vodka and stir.  To jazz it up, adorn the rim of the glass with an orange slice and there you have it, a refreshing and healthier cocktail that's easy to make.

The benefits from drinking beet juice range from reducing blood pressure to contributing to your folic acid intake.  While the beet juice tastes amazing and refreshing on it's own one trick that I have found to up the 'WOW' factor is to make beet popsicles.

These make the perfect low fat and healthy snack for your kids on those hot summer days!  This nutritious treat has no sugar added compared to a standard grape flavored popsicle that has an astounding 8 grams of sugar in each one.  The most cost effective way that I have found to make these are to fill small dixie cups half way up with juice and put either a straw or tongue depressor in the juice.  Freeze these and cut away the paper cup.  Voila... Beet Treats to Beat the Heat!

Have I mentioned lately how much I love fresh juice from Biotta?  If not, let me remind you that I do love it!  And one of the parts that makes it so much better is the easy process of getting more when I need more!

Just recently, I noticed that Biotta added an area to their website to make it possible to order it directly from them, and not from an outside retailer.  This means, next time you are on the website and want a bottle of organic
potato juice (or any of the other juices) just click on the "Where to Find Us" tab and you'll be directed to the "Online Store."

Biotta fits to my lifestyle so well, and for that I am so appreciative and will definitely continue to give them my business!
Saturday, September 18, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
Today, I was sitting outside my work eating lunch, like I do pretty much every day the weather is nice enough.  I just so happened to glance over and see a woman sitting a few benches down eating her lunch.  At the exact moment I looked over, I watched her pull at bottle of Biotta juice out of her lunch box!

You can imagine the excitement I had when I noticed this!  I didn't even think twice before I grabbed my lunch and went over to strike up conversation.  She was enjoying a bottle of Biotta's
celery juice with her lunch.  She said that she has nearly all of the juices at home, and she rotates which one she packs with her lunch.

After swapping some of our Biotta stories, I let her continue on with her lunch, but I couldn't help but laugh when I pulled a bottle of Biotta's
Vegetable Juice Cocktail out of my cooler to show her before I left.

Am I the only one that's happened to?

Carrots Made the List!
Friday, September 17, 2010 by Jennifer C
The website Methods of Healing recently released a list of the Top 10 Healthiest Vegetables, and we were so excited to see that Carrots made the list!

Carrots have always had a reputation for being one of the most popular vegetables and one of the healthiest veggies around.  This comes from their very high amount of Pro Vitamin-A Carotene, which leads to healthier vision, especially at night.  Also, drinking carrot juice benefits your blood sugar level as well as colon health.

Carrot juice, just like the rest of our fresh juices here at Biotta, is an outstanding addition to your diet.  It is not only one of the most nutritional juices around, it's also one of the tastiest!

I have long been a sufferer of canker sores.  They can be one of the most miserable health problems to go through, making it tough to enjoy talking, eating, or chewing gum...

One of the stranger, yet most effective remedies I've come across for canker sores involves
swishing sauerkraut juice around in the mouth twice a day.  There have been many people and sources claiming its powerful effect.

The People's Pharmacy says, "Take a tablespoon of sauerkraut juice in your mouth and swish it around morning and night, then swallow it. Do this twice a day and the canker sores should go away. We first heard about using sauerkraut juice to treat canker sores from D.W. in Garland, Texas. His mother had been a dental assistant in the 1930s. Since then we have heard from many people that it can provide rapid relief. One physician who benefited personally arranged for analytical testing of sauerkraut juice and discovered a number of active compounds that may be responsible for its healing properties."

Heartburn? Potato Juice is the answer!
Wednesday, September 15, 2010 by Jennifer C
Many people would agree that heartburn is one of the most miserable feelings one can experience.  And the timing doesn't help either... Right after a nice, big, delicious meal when all you want to do is sit back and relax (it never fails...)

Many over-the-counter drugs provide temporary relief, but the next time it hits, it comes back just as strong.  OTC drugs help at easing the pain, but don't help in curing the problem.

People as far back as the early Native Americans have been resorting to a more natural aid in fighting heartburn- Potatoes!

The Native Americans found that by drinking potato juice mixed with water, they could cure most digestive problems, including heartburn.
According to
Helium.com, "After the first few treatments, you should notice a sharp decline in the severity and frequency of heartburn disturbances. Within a few months, you may discover that you rarely suffer from heartburn attacks anymore. In no time at all, you will only be disturbed with heartburn on rare occasions."

It is also a safe prevention of heartburn during pregnancy!  The list of benefits of this organic vegetable juice goes on and on!  For more information on Biotta's potato juice or any of our other products, just check out the
website!

I'll admit, when I started drinking Biotta Juices, that was the first step I made toward support the organic movement.  I was never opposed to going organic, I just never took a step back to see how it would be helpful and what possible dangers existed in non-organic foods.

Now that I know more of the actual benefits that exist with supporting organic farmers, I catch myself leaning toward going organic in more foods.  If I see a head of cabbage that is organic right next to another non-organic head, it's an easy decision.

I know that it seems small, but I know that every small effort makes a big difference to a farmer who cares enough to grow organic.

The organic movement fits perfectly with a company like Biotta, they are always watching every aspect of the cultivation and harvesting of the fruits and veggies to make sure it is the healthiest drink possible for the consumer!

Their organic juices range from beet juice to carrot juice to potato juice and everything in between!  Check out the product page to see them all!

More Evidence of Beet Juice Lowering Blood Pressure
Monday, September 13, 2010 by Jennifer C
Everywhere I've been turning lately I seem to be finding more and more evidence of the power behind eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.  Researchers at Queen Mary University of London recently published results claiming that drinking a couple glasses of beet juice can help to lower a person's blood pressure.

Here is an excerpt from an article published on
BabyBoomerAdvisorClub.com that describes how beet juice helps to lower blood pressure:
"Mayo Clinic explains how nitrate works in the beet juice. It is converted by bacteria living on the tongue into the chemical nitrite. Once it enters the stomach, it becomes nitric oxide or in other words, it re-enters the blood stream as nitrite.
The researchers in the new study, have found that blood pressure was at its lowest when the nitrite levels in the blood were at their highest.
The nitrites then work by protecting against endothelial dysfunction, which means that blood vessels have trouble expanding or contracting to handle changes in blood flow. They also have anti-platelet properties."

The article also has advice for those who find the taste of beet juice to be a little strong- mix it with a tall glass of
organic carrot juice!

Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of Americans every year?  It's been estimated that over 81 MILLION Americans have some form of heart disease.

According to
Natural News, "Researchers have found that a glass of beet juice each day beats high blood pressure."

Recent studies have also led scientists to believe that beet juice has a very strong effect against cardiovascular disease.

Here's an excerpt from one study...
"...animals with chemically-induced high cholesterol were fed beet fiber. Compared to the control group, the beet fed animals experienced a total cholesterol drop of 30%, while their triglycerides dropped 40%. Essentially, the beets significantly dropped the animals` risk factor for cardiovascular disease. The animals` HDL (beneficial cholesterol) also increased significantly, offering protective benefits."

Biotta's beet juice is available in 16.9 oz and 8.4 oz bottles.

A quick note about sauerkraut juice...

I just read that Sauerkraut has been used for over 2200 years as a natural way to relieve digestive problems!  According to
The Health Bank, the Chinese have been using fermented cabbage (sauerkraut) since 200 BC...

During the Roman Era, the Romans would carry sauerkraut with them to prevent and cure intestinal infections, as did Genghis Khan in 1300 AD.

It truly is amazing that something as simple as Sauerkraut that is 100% organic juice can have such amazing effects on the body.  It is still as helpful today as it was thousands of years ago.

There are not too many juices that can make such claims, but
Biotta is one of them!  If you would like more information on this or any of our other juices, check out our website today!

Beet Juice Boosts Stamina by 16%!
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 by Jennifer C
"Drinking beetroot juice boosts stamina and could help people exercise for up to 16% longer, a UK study suggests." -OrganicJar
A very simple, straightforward statement from organic food gurus- OrganicJar.  Beet juice has amazing effects on the body, including the ability to boost stamina during physical activities!

According to
the website, " A University of Exeter team found that the nitrate contained in the vegetable leads to a reduction in oxygen uptake, making exercise less tiring. The study suggests the effect is greater than that which can be achieved by regular training.

Beetroot juice has previously been shown to reduce blood pressure.
The researchers believe their findings could help people with cardiovascular, respiratory or metabolic diseases and endurance athletes."

Organic beet juice has many beneficial effects on the body!  Start experiencing these effects now!  Check out some of the retailers carrying our products today!

My Advice to an Athlete...
Friday, August 20, 2010 by Jennifer C
Just a few days ago, I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine who happens to be a college athlete.  He said that he has been having constant debates with his coaches over what liquids he should be taking in during the season.  Just water? Just Gatorade? Artificially flavored fruit juice? They couldn't land on what would be the best route to take.

It was during this conversation that I kindly stopped him and gave him one recommendation-
Beet Juice.  Obviously, you should never cut water, or other nutrient and enzyme building liquids from your diet, but once I explained to him the benefits that beet juice has on the body, I could see the wheels turning.

I don't know if it was my telling him that beets have been proven to boost energy and help people have the stamina to exercise 16% longer...

...or if it was my telling him that it  increases the amount of nitric oxide in the body.  That, in turn, helps blood vessels relax, lowers blood pressure and has anti-inflammatory benefits as well...

...or if it was my explanation of the high levels of calcium that helps improve bone health...

but SOMETHING sparked something in him and he asked, "Where do I buy beet juice??"

I said that there is only one place around that sells
100% Organic Beet Juice, and that is Biotta!  Think you're sold on the idea? Check out the website and see where you can order some today!

Faced with a (good) problem...
Wednesday, August 18, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
So this morning I was faced with a problem... but a good kind of problem.  I, for the life of me, could not decide which one of Biotta's delicious fresh juices to have with my breakfast.  I tend to lean toward the Breakfast Blend, which has always been a perfect way to start my day.  It is filled with different fruits to give a very filling, energizing breakfast.

Then I started thinking that I might want to have some
elderberry juice.  I've had that feeling for a few days that I may be on the verge of getting sick and I could use a immune system boost.

But, when it was all said and done, I decided to go for one of my new favorites- 1/2
beet juice, 1/2 carrot juice!  It is SO good, and provides a very strong start to the day.

Obviously, I couldn't have gone wrong, they are all great tasting and great for me... but it was a nice change from the routine.

It seems like the list of things pregnant mothers need to watch over and maintain for those long nine months just gets longer and longer.  Two major concerns that doctors tell pregnant women to keep an eye on are high blood pressure and anemia.  Did you know these two problems can be combated by one easy solution: Beet Juice!

High blood pressure during pregnancy (referred to as Pre-eclampsia) usually occurs around 20 weeks.  Drinking 4 oz. of beet juice daily around this time can help to balance the sodium/potassium ratio in your blood.*

Anemia is also a common problem women face during pregnancy.  Doctors recommend turning to foods high in iron to help prevent and combat the onset of anemia.  One of beet juice's most healthy attributes is its high levels of iron.

Obviously, drinking any of
Biotta's organic vegetable juice and fruit juice would be beneficial during pregnancy.  You can check out this previous post on the benefits of carrot juice to nursing mothers!

A Few Healthy Benefits from Celery!
Saturday, August 14, 2010 by Jennifer C
I've posted a few times about the amazing hydration benefits of celery.  Celery is perfect for anyone engaging in a strenuous activity because it hydrates the body so well!  However, did you know that this is just one of the many health benefits that come from drinking celery juice?!
In face, the list of celery juice benefits can be quite long!

For example,
one article claims the following...

1. Eating celery will reduce high blood pressure and give the effect of calmness.

2. Celery clears uric acid from painful joints and may help the treatment of arthritis and rheumatic problems.

3. Celery also helps the kidney an acts an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.

4. Another benefit of celery is the fact that you can eat a lot of it without thinking much about your waistline. Celery actually has almost zero calorie.

Why sit and suffer from any of those problems any longer? Today is the day to order a bottle of
Biotta's Organic Juice and start experiencing this long list of health benefits!

I don't know about you, but I've always been someone who has been very "goal oriented." If I know exactly what I'm reaching toward when I start something, it makes it much easier to track my progress and find motivation to complete a certain task.  This can carry over into any area of life, from work, to relationships, to health.

According to
Mind Tools, "By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals. You can see forward progress in what might previously have seemed a long pointless grind. By setting goals, you will also raise your self-confidence, as you recognize your ability and competence in achieving the goals that you have set."

Simple things like physical activity and getting a solid amount of sleep can be the perfect place to start setting goals.

A healthy diet can also be a beneficial place to set goals.  I've written before about the recommended servings of fruits and veggies to include in your daily diet.  Keep track of how many
servings you get in a day.  Or maybe try a weekly goal... If this is a big adjustment, start small and work your way up.

Remember, it is easier to count your servings by having a glass of
Biotta Organic Juice with your lunch or breakfast!  That is one reason we recommend our fresh juices to our consumers!

Maybe it's time to try to have a glass of
beet juice every morning?  Or potato juice before your meals to prevent indigestion?

Whatever your goals are, set them and stick with them!  They will benefit your life in many ways!

Elderberry Juice Benefits the Respiratory System
Thursday, August 12, 2010 by Jennifer C
Most colds and coughs seem to start with the same symptoms, a stuffy nose, a runny nose, or a cough, and it all goes downhill from there.  Nearly all of those respiratory issues can lead to misery when experiencing them.

Luckily, we know of a remedy to all of your respiratory issues!  Elderberry Juice has long been
hailed as a great way to treat and prevent mucus buildup.  According to Natural Home Remedies"When the juice is consumed, the anti-inflammatory properties of the juice work to reduce the amount of mucus secreted.  It drains the mucus out of the body, thereby reducing the signs of nasal congestion."

Whether you are trying to prevent the next bug going around the office, or you are trying to get over the one you already caught, today is the day to start drinking Elderberry Juice!  You will not regret adding this Pure Organic Juice into your diet!

Recently, I was on Sauerkraut.com doing a little reading over some more information about another one of Biotta's delicious and nutritious juices!  I couldn't help but think to myself again and again- These guys LOVE their sauerkraut!  And you can easily see why!

Here are some of the descriptors they use to describe sauerkraut:

Sauerkraut is...

...an immune booster-  Sauerkraut contains phytochemicals which are created during the fermentation process. These naturally occurring, beneficial by products of sauerkraut help boost the immune system which leads to a decrease in a number of health problems.

...a cancer fighter-  The University of New Mexico published a study linking sauerkraut consumption by adolescent females to a reduced risk for breast cancer earlier studies indicate sauerkraut may reduce the risk for other forms of cancer including lung, colon, prostate, and liver

...a digestive aid-  Many sources say raw fermented foods are beneficial to the digestive system by increasing the healthy flora in the intestinal tract or creating the type of environment for them to flourish.

...a flu fighter-  Experts think the vital bacteria are created during the fermenting process and this gives the dish its health-boosting qualities.

Still need more convincing?  Read more about organic sauerkraut juice at
Sauerkraut.com... and then once you're sold, head over to the Biotta Juices website and order a bottle!

I'm just coming off a week of feeling lousy (apparently I need to stock up on more Elderberry Juice!) and if there is anything that I feel after I get over being sick, it is a need to get up and get active.  For some reason, working out always seems most appealing at times when I physically can't.  This time, I'm going to take that motivation and turn it into action.

I'm going to use the help of
Biotta's organic juices to get me going!  I've read through Biotta's blog that some of their juices have amazing effects when trying to be physically active.

I'm going to be making sure to include a glass of
beet juice in my day to help boost stamina during my workout!

I'll be sure to keep you updated on how the working out is going...

Juice, for me, is just about the most perfect thing I can include in my diet.  Why is this, you ask?  It contains some of the most important things in the busy life I lead!

Juice is convenient. It is just so easy to grab a bottle of
Biotta Juice and have it as a meal, or in addition to a meal, instead of a soda.  No longer am I striving to find ways to include enough servings of fruits or veggies in my day, now I just reach for a bottle and know that I'm covered.

Juice is also healthy.  Knowing that I can easily treat my body to an effective heart healthy juice like Biotta's organic beet juice makes my life so much easier.  My health is very important to me, and Biotta makes it easy for me to see that they care about my health as well.

Juice is delicious! I'll be honest, you would have never sat me down with a plate full of beets and seen me eat them.  Now, I just mix some
beet juice with a glass of carrot juice and I instantly discovered one of my favorite snacks ever!  It's is SO GOOD! And so good for me! (what a great combination, haha)

And THAT is why I turn to juice!

Celery Juice & Stones...
Friday, August 6, 2010 by Jennifer C
Anyone who has ever had a kidney, urinary, or gall stone knows that they are just about the most painful experience one could ever go through.  The stones form from a buildup of waste that can become stuck when they grow too big and cause severe pain discomfort.

Organic Celery Juice is on the natures best remedies and preventers for stones.  The chemicals in the juice keep the stones from forming and remain small enough for the body to pass pain free!  The happens through celery's amazing ability to flush toxins from the body.

Too Early to Think About Osteoporosis? Think Again...
Thursday, August 5, 2010 by Jennifer C
Statistics say that women have a higher risk of dying from osteoporosis than breast cancer...  This is highly caused by women's lack of caution during early stages of life to prevent the onset of osteoporosis (disease causing deterioration of the bones).

It's never too early to start thinking of ways to prevent osteoporosis.  According to HealingDaily.com, "Would you like to know how to help prevent osteoporosis? EAT VEGETABLES! Vegetables help to preserve your bones, and help fight the bone-thinning disease osteoporosis. Juicing is an excellent way to make fresh vegetables a major part of your healing diet."

One of the easiest ways to start prevention early is by including organic vegetable juice in your daily diet.  With our fresh juices at
Biotta, you'll see that your health is our number one concern and priority!

We have the following vegetable juices available:

A few years ago, scientists in Sweden conducted a number of experiments and found that nitrate rich vegetables help lead to lower blood pressure!  Below is an except from the study:

Each participant rotated between taking a daily dose of nitrate supplement equivalent to the amount normally found in 150 to 250 gm of a nitrate-rich vegetable including spinach, lettuce, or beetroot for three days, and taking a placebo for a different three days.
The results showed that average diastolic blood pressure was lower after three days of nitrate supplementation than it was after taking the placebo for three days.

Many of the vegetables in
Biotta's Juices are packed full of nitrates that will help your body see these same effects!  Biotta has always been dedicated to providing the best quality juice possible that will benefit your body the most, including our beet juice, carrot juice and many others!

Detox with Juice!
Tuesday, August 3, 2010 by Jennifer C
Did you know that organic fruits and vegetables are one of the best ways to detox your body?

According to d
etoxjuice.net, "One of the easiest, most effective, fastest and safest ways to detox, cleanse and eliminate toxins and disease is by increasing organically grown fruit and vegetable juices in your diet."

The
article goes on to say, "Fresh, organic juices offer concentrated sources of live enzymes, minerals and vitamins in an easily assimilated form used to strengthen the body's cleansing and eliminating process."

Biotta's organic juices are more than a healthy addition to your diet, they are the best option for a detoxification juice you will be able to find.
Detoxjuice explicitly states that organic fruits and vegetables "have, on average, double the concentrated nutritional value of commercially grown foods."

If detox is something you're looking into trying, turn to
Biotta today and start off right!

Let's face it, just about everyone loves soda.  For some reason, we can't get enough of the sweet sensation of a cold pop. I can speak so confidently because I, too, am a soda lover.  Recently I have been questioning my decision to drink soda.  What is the draw?

So I decided to make a list of the benefits I get
from a pop... What I came up with was a very small list of items that were hardly beneficial to my body.  I may get a quick caffeine boost... until I crash a short time later.  I feel very refreshed... until I realize that I'm actually more dehydrated than before.

I then turned to
Biotta's Fresh Juices to see what benefits I could come up with from drinking them.  That list was nearly never-ending.  Every single one of Biotta's juices is packed full of nutrients and vitamins that are essential for the body.  They are very filling, with no added sugar, no added caffeine, and no artificial colors or flavors!

Need more reasons to drink Biotta's organic vegetable juice and fruit juice?  Read some of our other blog posts!

I could spend this post like most of our posts simply discussing a long list of the benefits of beets (which you can find here... or here... or here); however, I would like to take a moment to touch on one concern you may have about drinking beet juice.

Studies have shown that some people have a tougher time digesting beets.  In
some cases, "it causes sickness, vomiting, giddiness, heartthrob, general weakness."  There is no reason to be concerned about these side effects because there is an easy solution!

We realize that straight beet juice might not be for everyone, but the benefits shouldn't be passed up! That is why we recommend mixing it with other vegetable juices.  When you combine it with some of our organic carrot juice, you can get some delicious beverages.  Here are
a few I found:
  • Carrot, beet, ginger, garlic
  • Carrot, beet, cucumber
  • Carrot, beet, parsley, cucumber
  • Carrot, beet, spinach
  • Carrot, beet, celery, parsley
  • Carrot, beet, cucumber, parsley, garlic
What are you waiting for? Grab a bottle of Biotta's organic beet, carrot, or any of our other organic vegetable juice today and get a new start on a healthy lifestyle!

Beet Juice and Heart Health
Friday, July 30, 2010 by Jennifer C
Today, I stumbled upon a very interesting study explaining another one of the ways that beet juice benefits the body.  Doctors have even more evidence in the powerful connection between beet juice and blood pressure.  I have included excerpts from the article below:

"[The scientists] found that drinking 500 millilitres of the juice led to significant reductions in blood pressure within hours.

The effect was traced to nitrate in the vegetable which reacted with bacteria in the mouth. This led to chemical changes which resulted in blood vessels dilating to increase blood flow.

Fourteen healthy volunteers were recruited for the study and asked to drink either 500 millilitres of beetroot juice or the same quantity of water within 30 minutes.   Volunteers who drank the juice started to show reductions in blood pressure after just one hour.

After two and a half hours, their systolic rate - the pressure with each heartbeat - was around 10 millimeters of mercury (mm of Hg) lower than that of participants who had drunk water.

For the diastolic reading - the "resting" pressure between heartbeats - a reduction of 8 mm Hg was seen in the juice drinkers after three hours.

Although the winter has come and gone, some of us aren't lucky enough to just be "seasonal illness" people... Those colds, coughs, and flu viruses seem to still attack even when it is getting nicer all around.

For this reason, it is important to never forget about caring for your immune system.  One of the best ways to keep you immune system going strong is by including a fair amount of Elderberry Juice in your diet!

According to
Buzzle.com, "The most important benefit of elderberry juice is its ability to prevent and cure illnesses related to the respiratory system like asthma, bronchitis, common cold, sore throat, cough and flu."

It does this through its very strong ability to reduce mucus and prevent congestion!

So stop the problem before it starts, check out
Biotta's website, and see where you can order Elderberry Juice or any of our other fresh juices!

Of the thousands of people who suffer from indigestion every year, many people may not even  know what has caused it, they just know that eating can easily go from a pleasant experience, to the most dreaded part of the day.

The
Cleveland Clinic's website has a great list of things that can potentially cause indigestion:
A disease or an ulcer in the digestive tract might cause indigestion. However, for most people, it is the result of eating too much, eating too fast, eating high-fat foods, or eating during stressful situations. Indigestion is not caused by excess stomach acid. Swallowing excessive air when eating may increase the symptoms of belching and bloating which are often associated with indigestion. Some medications can also irritate the stomach lining and cause indigestion.
Being tired or stressed, smoking, or drinking too much alcohol or caffeinated beverages can cause indigestion or make it worse.
Now that you know some of the causes of indigestion, you know how to help relieve some of the symptoms.  For persistent sufferers, Biotta's potato juice is something else to highly consider!  The chemicals present in potato juice do a superb job at balancing the acid levels in your stomach that help to relieve and prevent indigestion problems!

Potato juice benefits a number areas of your health, but your digestion system is one of the most helped areas.

When people think of ways to improve their vision, carrot juice seems to be a popular response.  This is for good reason!  Carrot juice is packed full of Vitamin A, one of the strongest vitamins in vision health.

According to
DietHealthClub.com, "Some of the first signs of Vitamin A deficiency include difficulty to adjust the sight in dim light from bright light; for example when you enter in a dark theater or a dark room from bright lighted room. Carrot juice can effectively help strengthen the eye sight and prevent further deficiency."
However, most sources do stress that carrot juice is not a quick fix for vision.  It is most helpful in strengthening eye sight over the long run.  This is why it is important to stock up on this pure organic juice now so that you will be able to reap the benefits later in life!

Considering a cleanse... The follow-up.
Sunday, July 25, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
So a while back I wrote about considering a juice cleanse.  I only did about 36 hours, but just in that short time I felt the difference it was making.  Now, I'm not going to claim that it was the most life-changing experience of my life, but it really was effective in making me feel... fresh? It's funny, I can't really describe it.  The purpose of the cleanse was to detoxify my body, and I definitely sense the lack of toxins now!

I stuck to the Biotta
Breakfast Blend for breakfast, a bottle of organic carrot juice for lunch, and then did a Vegetable Juice Cocktail for dinner (I also had 1/2 a bottle of Beet Juice before my work out).

The juice was the perfect substitute for a meal.  Obviously, you can't live your entire life off of juice, but for a quick cleanse, it was very effective.  It was amazing to see how having organic, fresh juices in my diet could make such a difference in my overall feeling!

Some of you may wonder how Biotta, which has been praised for its 2-year shelf life, retains all the the vitamins and nutrients packed into every bottle.  Well, it isn't luck, it is a very intricate process that has been perfected to create the best product available.

The longer pasteurization process and the higher the temperature, the greater the damage to the vitamins in any product.  Biotta uses a gentle method of pasteurization, which retains the greatest possible quantity of vital nutrients.  The juice is heated quickly and immediately cooked down again.  The production continues using as few stages as possible.

Oxygen is excluded as much as possible, hindering oxidation and the resulting loss of vitamins.  100% non-gas-permeable glass packaging is used.  Glass provides the best product protection and no undesired external elements (oxygen) can permeate the product, resulting in the best vitamin retention.  UV-rays (light influence) can break down vitamins, which is why Biotta products are packaged in closed cartons for storage and transportation.

According to Caring4Arthritis, 40 million people in the US suffer from some form of arthritis.  Sufferers have some options to help relieve the pain of arthritis, but most don't know about some of the most useful biological remedies for the pain.  It turns out many different organic juices contain vitamins and minerals that help to combat the pains caused by arthritis.

The most effective juice is potato juice!  You will be able to see the benefits after drinking one glass every morning on an empty stomach.

Other juices that work particularly well are carrot, celery, and beet juice!
According to Home Remedies For You, "The alkaline action of raw juices dissolves the accumulation of deposits around the joints and in other tissues." Conveniently enough, these are all juices that Biotta carries!

Start Drinking Juice Today!
Monday, July 19, 2010 by Jennifer C
Many people probably wonder why we push a "juice-centered diet" over one full of just eating an abundance of fruits and veggies in their natural state.  Although we are in no way advocating giving up raw fruits and veggies completely, we do see many benefits behind drinking juice!

One major benefit would be the shelf life of Biotta's juices.  Try to keep some potatoes or celery for a couple years and see how fresh they are! You won't have to worry about drinking Biotta's juice immediately because we guarantee a two year shelf life from the date of production!

The convenience factor isn't the only thing promoting a juice diet.  There are also many health benefits:

According to
Living Foods, "Although eating fruits and vegetables in their natural state does provide us with a substantial amount of vitamins and minerals, we only obtain the maximum benefits from them when they are juiced. Much of their goodness is locked in the fiber which is expelled from the body. When we juice the fruits and vegetables, their goodness is released from the fiber and we are able to drink their highly concentrated nutrients which are then able to enter our bloodstream very quickly"
Drinking Biotta's heart healthy juice will help build up your health in many areas.  Our
carrot juice is wonderful for vision, potato juice aids tremendously in digestion and sauerkraut juice has been known to even cure canker sores!

Understanding Nitrates...
Sunday, July 18, 2010 by Jennifer C
We've always put an emphasis on promoting the fact that our juices contain so many nitrate rich vegetables!  But I wanted to make sure that before we continue discussing nitrates and the effect they have on the body, you had an idea of exactly what nitrates are and what they do!

According to health expert
Paul Johnson, "Nitrate is a salt of nitric acid, and is an essential plant nutrient found in soil that is taken in by plants and used as their primary nitrogen source. Thus, nitrate is a natural part of all vegetables, fruits and cereals."

He also goes on to discuss the effect of nitrates on hypertension: "How can nitrates help with hypertension? New studies have found that nitrates, nutrients found in leafy green vegetables such as lettuce and spinach, may actually help control blood pressure by maintaining the health of blood vessels."

Conveniently enough, he finishes his article by promoting a few vegetables that are very high in nitrates, including:
  • Lettuce
  • Spinach
  • Cabbage
  • Beets
  • Radishes
  • Carrots
Now you know why all of us here at Biotta take time to promote a nitrate-rich diet!  Nearly all of our organic vegetable juice is packed full of nitrates!  For a complete list of Biotta's vegetable juices, click here!

Lovin' Potato Juice today...
Saturday, July 17, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
Last night, I went out to dinner with some friends to a steak house in town.  Steak and other red meats are easily some of my favorite foods, but they have a long history of giving me terrible indigestion and heartburn, which can easily ruin a nice evening.

One of the first things I remember reading about organic
potato juice was its ability to prevent indigestion because of its soothing effect on the chemicals in your stomach.  I decided to have a glass of potato juice before we went to dinner to test this theory.

You wouldn't believe the feeling of relief I had when heartburn never crept its way into my evening!

I love having those moments when I'm reminded that all the benefits that come from
Biotta Juices are not just all talk, they are the truth!  I have never included something in my diet that has had the same beneficial effects that Biotta continues to have!

Friday, July 16, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
Fresh and crisp are the words that seem to always come to mind when I'm enjoying a nice cool glass of Biotta's Juice on a hot day.  It really does amaze me how the juice can stay so fresh tasting after a lengthy shelf time.  Because I like to buy my pure organic juice in bulk, sometimes it can be a little while before I get to the last bottle in the case, but that has no impact on the fresh taste I get!

I always get a very crisp feel when I have a glass, as well... almost like the feeling you get biting into a fresh tomato or celery stalk.  It just makes the juice taste all the more better when I feel the crispness in every taste!

And no one would deny that the best part of a bottle of Biotta is the health benefits that go along with them.  It's amazing that a bottle of
Beet Juice truly is one of the healthiest thing you can put in your body!  I'm so glad I discovered Biotta!

What the New Food Pyramid Means for Our Meals...
Thursday, July 15, 2010 by Jennifer C
Most people aren't aware of exactly what your plates of food should look like now that the Food Pyramid has been adjusted.  I found a very informational reading that stated exactly what it should include:
The plate should be alive with colorful vegetables such as purple eggplant, dark green kale, and bright orange winter squash - all without butter. If there's any meat at all on the plate, it will be no more than three lean ounces of beef, chicken, or much-preferred fish.
That's not all. You'll need five servings of vegetables, four servings of fruit, three cups of low-fat dairy foods, and 6 ounces of whole grains every single day. Cut back on salt. Eat only healthy oils and no bad fats. Stay away from sweets and sugar added beverages. Drink very little or no alcohol. Exercise for at least 30 minutes every day. Or better still, exercise for 60 to 90 minutes daily.
It may be tough for some of us to squeeze that many servings of vegetables and fruit into our diet, but here at Biotta, we like to think that turning to juices may make that process a little easier.  A small glass of Biotta Juices can count for a full serving of fruits or veggies!

By paying attention to these simple guidelines, it can lead to an overall improved state of health!  Check out the
full selection of our organic vegetable juice and fruit juice today and start climbing your pyramid!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010 by Jennifer C
If you have spent much time reading up on our juices, you may have seen that our Elderberry Juice is our only juice to which we've added sugar.  There is a very simple reason behind that...

Berry juices such as elderberry are naturally very strong and sour tasting.  Sugar is added for drinking pleasure.  The flavor is enhanced with appropriate tea blends and/or the addition of unrefined sugar or agave juice to neutralize acids.

The sugar used is 100% natural and the healthiest way to improve the flavor of our juice!

Since we're on the topic of Elderberry Juice, did you know that it is packed full of Vitamin C and great for building up your immune system!

Increase Your Vegetable Intake
Tuesday, July 13, 2010 by Jennifer C
According to Tony Hirving, everyone should put a special emphasis on increasing the amount of vegetables that they include in their diet daily.  He refers to the experts to make the guidelines and say that at least 5 servings of vegetables a day is perfect!

The
article goes on to say, " To get the maximum benefits, you need to eat different types of vegetables because they contain different amounts of fiber, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. So aim to include a variety of vegetables in your 5-a-day to get the most benefit

It has been estimated that eating at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables a day could reduce the risk of deaths cancer by up to 20% – fruit and vegetables can also reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and stroke – two very good reasons to eat vegetables, in my opinion!"

It may be tough to see where you can fit that many servings of veggies in every day.  This is exactly why including
Biotta in your diet is the perfect solution.  Our organic carrot juice, potato juice, and all of our other juices are packed full of essential vitamins and minerals that promote healthy living.

Biotta- The ONLY Place to Buy Organic Beet Juice!
Monday, July 12, 2010 by Jennifer C
I was doing a little shopping the other day and decided to look into Beet Juice sold by other companies (strictly for comparison purposes).  The results of my search made me ecstatic!  As it turns out, Biotta Juices is the ONLY place where you will find the actual juice! (Seriously, Google it!)  The closest thing you would find online would be beet juice powder.

While these powders claim to have some health benefits, they cannot come anywhere near the level of
Biotta.  The body benefits so much from drinking juice (just check out this previous post on the subject!)  Many vitamins and nutrients are inside beets that couldn't carry over into powder form.

With a vegetable so healthy and delicious as beets, we are proud to be able to showcase it off to the world!  Check out more information about our juice
here!

Don't Be Afraid to Mix It Up!
Sunday, July 11, 2010 by Jennifer C
Here at Biotta, we completely understand that some of our juices may be more of an acquired taste than others.  That is why we want to encourage you to try mixing some of the juices and see what you think!

Most people would agree that carrot juice is one of the most delicious juices around, which is why it goes very well when mixed with a glass of organic beet juice, which some people find to be too strong to drink by itself.

Mixing carrot juice with nearly any of our juices may make them much easier on the palate, and over time you can wean yourself to drinking the straight juice.

Do you have any success stories on creating your own juice cocktails using
Biotta's organic juice?  Leave us a comment or send us an email today!

Breuss Vegetable Juice- The Cancer Fighting Juice.
Saturday, July 10, 2010 by Jennifer C
In the early 1900s, naturopath Rudolph Breuss developed a recipe for Breuss Juice as an alternative method of treating disease, including cancer. Juice is particularly suited for juice-fasting regimens because it is composed of a balanced blend of vegetables to provide the nutrients the body needs during a purification regimen.

Breuss went on to write a book entitled
The Breuss Cancer Cure.  In his book, that you can still buy today, he claims that cancer feed and grows on protein.  He deduces that fasting could detoxify and cleanse the body, while starving the cancer.  Many people still use this advice today!

Today, the juice is developed according to the original recipe used many years ago. In fact, Biotta holds the exclusive license for the worldwide production and distribution of the juice!
Biotta’s Breuss juice is made from a large selection of nutrient-rich vegetables, including freshly gathered organic vegetable such as beetroots, carrots, celeriac, potatoes and radishes.

SO Many Celery Juice Benefits!
Friday, July 9, 2010 by Jennifer C
Recently, I was reading an article about celery juice on the website eHow.com... I found a great list of benefits of drinking celery juice and wanted to share some of them with you.
  • Celery keeps body temperature regulated, helping you cool down in hot weather.
  • It can also be used as a fever reducer.
  • Fiber in celery works as a natural mild laxative that keeps your system running well without the stress of over-the-counter laxatives.
  • It also rehydrates the body in dry weather and after a workout.
  • Celery can also curb the appetite and reduce cravings for sugar, making it a healthful alternative to diet pills when added to your diet.
This is just a small sampling in a huge list of the benefits of including celery in your diet.  Remember, all of our juices are 100% organic and contain no added sugar, caffeine, flavors, or coloring!  Here at Biotta, we are dedicated to providing pure juice to our consumers!

Keeping Our Juice PURE!
Friday, June 25, 2010 by Jennifer C
One of the words we often use to describe our juices here at Biotta would be PURE.  What do we mean by that?  It's pretty simple...

Every one of our juices is 100% organic, meaning that at no time during the cultivation process
do the fruits or vegetables come in contact with chemicals or pesticides.  We grow them organically, and safely in order to keep them as pure and healthy for you as possible, which makes the best organic juice possible!

Also, nearly none of our juices have any added sugar (
elderberry juice has some added sugar to take away the sour taste).  Also, our juices have no added caffeine, artificial flavoring or artificial colors.

We don't want to create an artificial beverage with an artificial flavor and no health benefits.  Our fresh juices are some of the healthiest beverages you can put in your body!

I think I'm pretty normal that I seem to have quite an obsession with my skin.  Whenever I have a breakout or blemish, I immediately freak out and try to figure out a way to cover it up.

I've tried plenty of things to prevent issues from coming up--usually they fall short.  Either they cause my face to burn because of the chemicals, or they leave my skin dry, or they simply just don't work.

Wouldn't you know that I was so excited to read that
organic carrot juice is actually one of the best natural ways to clear up skin.  Apparently, it acts as an anti-inflammatory to clear up the skin and even remove wrinkles (a nice added bonus!)

I always knew that
carrot juice benefits vision, but had no idea that it could also work wonders on your skin.

I have to go now, it is time for me to grab a bottle and start the skin clearing process! And I might also grab a second bottle, just in case I get hungry for a snack and need some fresh juices!

Mixin' it up...
Wednesday, June 23, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
I decided that I was going to start mixing things up a little bit with my juice.  I love most of the Biotta Juices by themselves, but I will admit that the Sauerkraut Juice, as amazingly healthy as it is, is a little tough for me to enjoy by itself.

I just couldn't give up on it though, not after looking at the loooooong list of health benefits that
 come from the juice.

That is why I decided to start mixing it with Biotta's
Vegetable Juice Cocktail and Oh My Gosh!  It is so good!  Something that I was pretty sure would have just ended up bearable, at best, turned out to be one of my favorite drinks!  In fact, I've started enjoying it so much, I'm going right now to order my next case of sauerkraut juice from Biotta!

I encourage all of you to try to mix things up with the juice! Do some experimenting and you might end up making quite a discovery like I did!

And if any of you think you've made quite a delicious concoction, leave me a comment and let me know about it

I wanted to read a little bit on what other companies say about their beet juice today, so I decided to look up beet juice on Google.. and I was shocked to see that Biotta is the only company that carries true, beet juice! All other companies just sell a powder to mix with water (check out the screenshot below)...

Think of all the nutrients that would be lost in that process.  If you have the pure organic juice, you get everything that nature intended you to get in the actual vegetable.  Once it is crushed down into a powder, you lose nearly everything!  Especially the fiber that can only be found through the actual beet.

Anyways, I just thought that was very impressive and wanted to share that with all of you!  Hope you're having a great day filled with the best organic juice around-

More Evidence of Sauerkraut Juice's Cancer-Fighting Capabilities
Monday, June 21, 2010 by Jennifer C
It's a topic we've covered many times in this blog, but it's important enough to us that we want to make sure and give you every piece of information that comes up about the health benefits that come from drinking Biotta Juices.  Recently, a group of scientists found more evidence proving Sauerkraut Juice's ability to fight cancer cells in animals and may be as effective in humans as well.

According to
the article, "The investigators found that fermenting cabbage produced a number of different compounds, known as isothiocyanates, which have been shown in test tube and animal studies to prevent the growth of cancer, especially in the breast, colon, lung and liver.

According to their experiment, the fermentation process breaks glucosinolate down into isothiocynates and other compounds that may fight cancer. Previous studies have found that isothiocyanates encourage precancerous cells in the digestive system to self-destruct, a process known as apoptosis."

"Our study implies that fermented cabbage can be a good source of plant-derived bioactive compounds such as breakdown products of glucosinolates," Dr. Eeva-Liisa Ryhanen, the study's lead author, told Reuters Health.

Besides being a strong cancer-fighter, sauerkraut juice is also very effective at treating digestional problems and even canker sores!

The following is an excerpt of a Q & A from The People's Pharmacy regarding the health benefits connecting blood pressure and  beet juice:

Q. Is there anything in the way of vitamins or herbs that a person can take instead of a prescription drug for high blood pressure?

A. The newest candidate for natural blood pressure control is beet juice. A study in the journal Hypertension (online Feb. 4, 2008) showed that two cups (500 ml) of beet juice lowered blood pressure by approximately 10 points. That is better than many prescription drugs. The effect lasts up to 24 hours.

Beets are high in dietary nitrate and increase the amount of nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide (NO) helps blood vessels relax, lowering blood pressure. NO has anti-inflammatory activity and discourages blood clot formation.

Going Organic Helps the Farmers...
Saturday, June 19, 2010 by Jennifer C
I love to include posts every so often to give even more reasons why we choose to support the organic movement.  It's came to my attention lately that, although we usually focus on the benefits that organic products have on the consumers, the organic farmers also see many benefits...

One online page gave a breakdown of some ways that going organic can help farmers...

Organic farming helps keep rural communities healthy
USDA reported that in 1997, half of U.S. farm production came from only 2% of farms. Organic agriculture can be a lifeline for small farms because it offers an alternative market where sellers can command fair prices for crops.

Organic farming protect farm worker health
A National Cancer Institute study found that farmers exposed to herbicides had a six times greater risk than non-farmers of contacting cancer.

Organic farming is good for the family farm
Many organic growers are small, independently owned farmers who have found that organic farming is one of the few remaining ways they can stay competitive with larger-scale farms.

Here at
Biotta, we have always (and will always) been completely dedicated to providing 100% organic juice for all of our consumers!  Every aspect of our company, from the cultivation, to the packaging, to the bottling, is done with an eco-friendly mindset!

Start supporting the organic movement today by buying from one of the most successful
environmental sustainability companies around!  Check out our products page for a full listing of our organic vegetable juice and fruit juice!

I don't think there is a person in the world who would argue with this one, simple fact- Life is exhausting.  Whether your full time job is at home, or at an office, all the chaos seems to never slow down.
One of the major side effects that a busy schedule has made in my life is a much lower emphasis on what I'm putting into my body.  Mornings have always been so hectic that I just go straight for the coffee maker, get my coffee (maybe have time to toast a Pop Tart) before I can finish the morning routine and get out the door to work

I've recently decided to make a change to the way I handle mornings.  That is why I started looking into Biotta Juice's Breakfast Blend.  I realized that it packs plenty of natural energy to get my day started, without loaded me up with empty calories like a cup of coffee.

Including of some Biotta's other fresh juices throughout the day has also helped me get in some nutrients while snacking.

So, if you're finding your mornings to be just a little too busy for a big, balanced breakfast, I'd say start with something simple like a glass of pure organic juice and see the difference it makes!

Even More Benefits from Carrot Juice
Thursday, June 17, 2010 by Jennifer C
A while back, I wrote a post that included a portion of a great list compiled by Dr. Suzanne Skinner of the health benefits of drinking organic carrot juice.  I have decided that I didn't do the list justice in the last small sampling, so here are even MORE benefits!...
  • Sterility is sometimes overcome by its use.
  • Helps overcome most eye troubles.
  • The best food for the colon is a combination of raw carrot juice and fresh spinach juice.
  • Contains elements which nourish the entire system, helping to normalize its weight as well as normalize the chemical balance.
  • The endocrine glands, especially the adrenals and the gonads require food elements found in raw carrot juice.
  • Helps overcome dry skin, dermititis, and other skin blemishes.
  • Rich in calcium, magnesium and iron while the vital organic elements phosphorus, sulfur, silicon and chlorine balance perfectly with the former in their action and reaction on the human system.
100% Organic Carrot Juice is the closest thing to a miracle juice if there was ever one!  Even after these two posts documenting these benefits, I still feel like I haven't even scratched the surface on the long list of benefits found in carrots.

I Highly recommend checking out the
entire list and seeing some of the other benefits.  And while you're at it, why not check out Biotta's website and check into the health benefits of our other organic vegetable juice and fruit juices!

I couldn't have discovered Biotta's fresh juices at a better time!  It is my first go-to every time I'm looking for a refreshing drink on a hot day. (and I don't know where you're reading this from, but where I'm at, it's getting HOT!)
One of my favorites is the organic
celery juice!  It actually has a very long list of benefits to it, one of them being it's ability to hydrate the body!  It keeps me feeling hydrated and ready to conquer the heat.

If celery is not for you, check out one of their other tasty, nutritious juices!  They will give you the refreshing feeling you need, while keeping you healthy going into the summer!

This post explaining some of the negative effects of caffeine covers a pretty popular topic here on the Biotta Blog- High Blood Pressure...

For people experiencing high blood pressure or high blood sugar levels, caffeine can have very negative effects on the body.  Caffeine acts as a stimulant, causing high blood pressure levels to increase.

Some sources also say that high doses of caffeine can induce an irregular heart beat in those who have healthy blood pressure levels.

So what is a healthy alternative to caffeine for people with high blood pressure? Easy-
Beet Juice!  Biotta's juice is one of the healthiest ways to treat problems with blood pressure because it is one of the best nitrate rich vegetables around!

For more information on natural ways to help your problems with blood pressure, or for more options to choose from instead of caffeinated drinks, check out our
website today!

In recent posts, we've covered many various topics revolving around the health hazards dealing with excessive caffeine intake.  We've looked at issues with sleep, addiction, and skin condition.  Today's problem is more common in women, but is relevant to everybody- Bone Strength.

The negative effect on bone health is one of the more long term side effect of including high amounts of caffeine in your diet.  According to
AHealthyMe.com, "Each cup of coffee you drink steals a little bit of calcium from your bones -- about the amount you'd get from a teaspoon of milk."

This stealing of calcium can add up after a long period of time and have severe effects on the body, especially in post-menopausal women.  "One study showed an acceleration in bone loss among older women who drank as little as two or three cups of coffee a day, compared with those who drank less or none at all."

While it appears as though there are nearly no health benefits from caffeine, the exact opposite can be said about
Biotta's organic vegetable juice and fruit juice!  Our fresh juices never rob you of healthy vitamins and nutrients! In fact, they replenish them every time you have a glass!

We do not add caffeine to any of our juices.  We see the health risks involved and want to remain dedicated to providing the healthiest addition to your diet possible!

I realize that we're technically still in spring, but I think we're all getting ready for a hot summer to be here!  And with summer comes hours and hours of outdoors activities from sports, to yard work, and everything in between.

Today's topic of interest relating to caffeine has a very strong impact on summer activities- Dehydration.

Most of us would agree that as good as a nice pop tastes when it's really hot out, it doesn't do the best at making us feel that hydrated.  That's because of caffeine's diuretic qualities. If you are not careful to replace your liquids, you can find yourself dehydrated quickly.

I do, however, have a great alternative to caffeine on a hot day with strenuous activity- Celery Juice!  Biotta's celery juice is one of the best forms of hydrating your body.  Check out
this previous post that explains all about the hydration effects of celery juice!

Who would have thought that this series could have lasted to a "Part VI"??  It's true! The more research I've been able to do into caffeine and its negative affect on the body, the more I'm realize how unhealthy it can be.

Today's research lead me to finding a
list of hormones affected by a diet high in caffeine.  I was shocked to see just how much caffeine alters the chemical makeup of our bodies.  Below I've listed some of the hormones affected:

·         Adenosine- Can inhibit absorption of adenosine, which calms the body, which can make you feel alert in the short run, but can cause sleep problems later
·         Adrenaline- Caffeine injects adrenaline into your system, giving you a temporary boost, but possibly making you fatigued and depressed later. If you take more caffeine to counteract these effects, you end up spending the day in an agitated state, and might find yourself jumpy and edgy by night.
·         Cortisol- Can increase the body’s levels of cortisol, the “stress hormone”, which can lead to other health consequences ranging from weight gain and moodiness to heart disease and diabetes.
·         Dopamine- Caffeine increases dopamine levels in your system, acting in a way similar to amphetamines, which can make you feel good after taking it, but after it wears off you can feel ‘low’. It can also lead to a physical dependence because of dopamine manipulation.
With enough things these days causing stress and health issues, cutting out caffeine seems like the perfect way to start a change toward better health.  This is exactly why Biotta Juices includes no added caffeine.  We are dedicated toward promoting a healthy lifestyle in all areas of your life and cutting or limiting caffeine is the perfect place to start.

All of our heart healthy juices, from our organic
beet juice to our elderberry juice, contain no added caffeine and are packed full of essential vitamins and minerals that will help lead you to a healthier life!

Why Wouldn't You Want to Go Organic???
Friday, June 11, 2010 by Jennifer C
When I look at organic foods and juices, I can only sit and wonder why anyone would choose a life other than one that goes organic!  The list of benefits from eating and drinking organic foods and drinks seems to only grow over time.  For this reason, Biotta Juices has always been dedicated to providing 100% Organic Juice for our customers!

When I read that organic foods taste better because of the well-balanced soil its grown in and that they contain fewer health risks because of the lack of chemicals included in the growing process, I can't find any reason to support anything other than an all-organic life!

Biotta's organic juice is the perfect representation of the organic food industry.  We take an organic approach to every aspect of the harvesting, cultivation, and packaging of our juices.

Wondering Why Our Juices Contain Sediment?
Thursday, June 10, 2010 by Jennifer C
Chances are, if you've ever had a bottle of Biotta's juice, you've noticed that our juices contain some sediment left from the fruits or vegetables.  There is actually good reason behind this, not just carelessness in the creating process!

Sediment actually contains many beneficial properties, including phytonutrients! For this reason, we minimize the filtering in our juices.

Because we are dedicated to providing the healthiest fresh juices possible, we take every measure necessary to ensure that our products are the best!

We do recommend shaking your bottle of Biotta's juice before drinking it to ensure that you mix up the sediment and get the full amount of nutrients in your glass!

Keys to Healthy Living (Part III)
Tuesday, June 8, 2010 by Jennifer C
This is the third part in a series devoted to giving you overall tips on how to enjoy living a healthy lifestyle... So far we have focused on water intake and physical activity, today we are going to look at the opposite of physical activity- Sleep!

Many of us would claim that the American outlook on life is "There just aren't enough hours in the day..."  We're constantly waking up earlier and staying up later just trying to stay caught up.

Many sources still say that adults need at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night in order to stay healthy.

One way to help get more sleep at night is to eliminate caffeine from your diet, or at least within a few hours of going to sleep.  Why not replace the sugary, caffeinated soda with some organic vegetable juice from
Biotta?

You will also have a much more refreshing feeling when you wake up in the morning after a good night's sleep.  You will be able to reach for a bottle of
carrot juice, beet juice, or maybe Biotta's Breakfast Blend for a healthy way to start your day!

Keys to Healthy Living (Part II)
Monday, June 7, 2010 by Jennifer C
My last segment in this series ties in very well with this one.  Last time, I discussed the importance of adding water to your diet already full of healthy food and drinks.  This segment's key to healthy living- Getting Active!

Regular physical activity is essential to keeping the body at a healthy state.  "With regular exercise, fat deposits and excessive sugar levels in the body are reduced. The aftermath of this is that organs in the body like the heart, the kidney and liver are kept in good working condition. Thus, to live long, regular exercise as well as good eating patterns are needed"**

Making small decisions at first, like taking the stairs or parking further away from the store, will help you build up to a physically active routine.

Fresh juices can become extremely helpful when trying to maintain a physically active life.  The Biotta Breakfast Blend gives you the perfect burst of energy you need in the morning, and celery juice has been given a very strong reputation of being a way to remain hydrated when active.

One post I wrote focused on the benefits of beet juice for athletes because of the way it helps the body gain oxygen and not tire easily.

Keys to Healthy Living (Part I)
Sunday, June 6, 2010 by Jennifer C
Kicking off this new series, we're going to stick to a topic that we already know a lot about- What you should be drinking!

Now, although we will stand true behind our juice 100%, we also know that one of the best ways to start leading a healthier life is to make sure that your water intake is at a healthy level!  Water benefits the body in countless ways...
Here are a few statistics:
  • Muscle consists of 75% water
  • Brain consists of 90% of water
  • Bone consists of 22% of water
  • Blood consists of 83% water
The functions of water in human body are vital. The water:
  • Transport nutrients and oxygen into cells
  • Moisturizes the air in lungs
  • Helps with metabolism
  • Protect our vital organ
  • Helps our organs to absorb nutrients better
  • Regulates body temperature
  • Detoxifies
  • Protect and moisturizes our joints
Water is the perfect addition to the nutrients your taking in.  Water helps your body absorb everything that fresh juices bring into your body.  Biotta's organic juices are the best way to get the necessary vitamins and minerals in your system daily!

So, in addition to your 3-5 servings of organic vegetable juice and fresh veggies you're getting a day, make sure that you drink a sufficient amount of water every day (The best way to judge if you've had enough water- your urine should be light yellow or clear)

Today, I decided that I was going to have a "Veggie Day."  The first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning was having a glass of Biotta's Vegetable Juice Cocktail for breakfast, and what a good idea that was!

It gave me a healthy start to my day and made me feel like I was fueled up and ready to go.  It takes the feeling I usually get with a cup of coffee to an extreme.  Coffee used to give me that quick jolt I needed, but a glass of vegetable juice first thing in the morning, that is full of so many vitamins and nutrients just makes me feel better...

Also, when I replace coffee with a healthy, filling breakfast, I don't have to worry about a mid-morning caffeine crash!  I am so glad I discovered Biotta and all of the organic vegetable juice and fruit juices that they carry!

The Wonderful World of Juicing!
Sunday, May 30, 2010 by Jennifer C
I just finished watching a video and reading an article by a man named Dr. Mercola, who seems to be one of the biggest juice promoters I've ever seen!  He was responding to a question submitted by a woman asking if vitamin supplements were sufficient in replacing vegetable juice.  His simple response- No.

His article goes on to explain all the benefits that come from juicing...
  1. Juicing helps you absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. This is important because most of us have impaired digestion as a result of making less-than-optimal food choices over many years. This limits your body's ability to absorb all the nutrients from the vegetables. Juicing will help to "pre-digest" them for you, so you will receive most of the nutrition, rather than having it go down the toilet.
  2. Juicing allows you to consume an optimal amount of vegetables in an efficient manner. If you are a carb type, you should eat one pound of raw vegetables per 50 pounds of body weight per day. Some people may find eating that many vegetables difficult, but it can be easily accomplished with a quick glass of vegetable juice.
  3. You can add a wider variety of vegetables in your dietMany people eat the same vegetable salads every day. This violates the principle of regular food rotation and increases your chance of developing an allergy to a certain food. But with juicing, you can juice a wide variety of vegetables that you may not normally enjoy eating whole.

Many thanks to Dr. Mercola for the awesome article promoting heart healthy juice! Juice is our passion here at Biotta and we love to see others who feel the same way!  I highly recommend checking out
Dr. Mercola's website that is filled with information about fresh juices.  For a look into all of the organic vegetable juice and fruit juice that we stock here at Biotta, just click here!

I was reading up on some of the health benefits of drinking carrot juice recently and couldn't help finding some of the comments left by readers of the article.  They were RAVING about the health benefits of drinking carrot juice!  Here are a few of the comments I found:
"I enjoy drinking carrot juice. I drink it quite often and it aids with my weight problem and my anemic condition."

"I drink fresh carrot juice almost every day. I love it... I feel great after I drink it. You can add anything you want including ginger, mint, beets, kale, whatever you want."

"I drink carrot juice and also my daughter. I'm stopping to take any food supplement. Carrot
juice and apples are the best and feels great and healthy."

"The question was asked if you can drink carrot juice on a daily basis. I have been drinking juiced carrots daily for 13 years. My father and four brothers all died in their 40s, 50s and 60s of heart disease, so I also had heart disease, because of the family history. I had a heart attack and a sever bleeder stroke two years later, but today at age 73 feel much younger.  I have good levels of cholesterol and BP."

There you have it! Straight from the mouths of happy carrot juice drinkers!
Biotta's organic carrot juice is the perfect addition to any meal and can do wonders for your body with just one glass a day!  We take great pride in our selection of organic vegetable juice and fruit juice, so we're always happy to see people raving about the benefits of drinking fresh juices!

Going Green with Biotta!
Friday, May 28, 2010 by Jennifer C
"Going Green" seems to be getting more and more popular for companies today.  At Biotta, however, going green is more than a clever marketing idea.  Going green is a dedication.

We are dedicated to providing healthy products while having very conscious views toward our impact on the environment.  When we produce our juices, we use every last piece of the fruit or vegetable.  What gets left out from our juices gets sold to farmers to use to feed their livestock!

Our glass bottles are designed to keep the juice fresh and delicious, while making recycling easy.  Also, glass bottle create the longest shelf life and with glass bottling, there is no migration of packaging materials into the product, as can happen with PET, carton, or aluminum, having negative effects on product quality.

Every part of Biotta, from production to distribution, is done with an environmental-conscious mindset.  Biotta Juices is one of the best environmental sustainability companies you'll find!

A Quick Snapshot into Sauerkraut Juice
Thursday, May 27, 2010 by Jennifer C
I could go on and on with reasons why you should add Biotta's sauerkraut juice into your diet, but I've decided to take all of those reasons and combine them down into a few major points:
  1. The lactic acid inhibits the growth of intestinal bacteria
  2. It is full of probiotics (healthy bacteria)
  3. Stimulates digestive activity
  4. Helps cure and prevent canker sores
  5. Very high amount of Vitamin C
Sauerkraut has been highly recommended for years!  There's no better time than today to buy a bottle of Biotta's juice and add sauerkraut into your diet today!

According to the American Heart Association, over 100 million Americans are at high risk or borderline-risk of high blood pressure.  It is a problem that causes suffering in people of all ages across the country and is only getting worse.
WebMD has many resources for those suffering and those who are at risk.  In one article they discuss diet, which is one of the leading factors in developing high cholesterol and heart disease.

They say, "While most dietary plans just tell you what you CAN'T eat (usually your favorite foods!), the most powerful nutrition strategy helps you focus on what you CAN eat. In fact, heart disease research has shown that adding heart-saving foods is just as important as cutting back on others."

The first recommendation they make on their website is very straight forward:

Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and legumes.
These wonders of nature may be one of the most powerful strategies in fighting heart disease. The increase in dietary fiber helps lower bad LDL cholesterol.

This is an important piece of advice to EVERYONE, no matter what gender, age, race... By adding vegetables, fruits, etc. into your diet, you can drastically cut back your risk for high cholesterol and heart disease.

There are simple steps to make this change.  Instead of sodas, why not have a glass of
organic vegetable juice from Biotta?  Put down bowls of sugary cereal for breakfast and instead have a glass of Biotta's Breakfast Blend!

Reduce Your Stress Level...
Wednesday, May 26, 2010 by Jennifer C
When you read the title of this post, you probably laughed.  When you look at your mile-long to-do list and the time you don't have to finish it, you (myself included) can't help; but laugh at the idea of reducing stress levels.

Obviously,
Biotta's juices aren't going to magically complete all of your tasks (we're working on that formula), but our juices can help in managing and even reducing the amount of stress your body takes on.

One suggestion might be a glass of our
Breakfast Blend in the morning to help give you the energy you need to make it through the day!

Another, more scientific approach would be
Elderberry Juice!  Research shows that elderberry juice has very significant effects on reducing stress.

According to one scientist who completed
the study“We only gave these people the elderberry for ten days,” he notes with expansive hand gestures. “We put them through typical stress tests, all the usual physical challenges, and the results were so remarkable, I checked them over and over.”

In the study, various bio-markers of stress, including glucose, magnesium and other plasma chemical levels, were analyzed. “What we found was that elderberry has this extraordinary effect for reducing stress,” Porta found that daily intake of elderberry extract greatly decreased susceptibility to stress, and significantly shortened recovery time from physical exertion."

Who knew that fresh juices could produce such beneficial results in the body!?  So next time the boss walks by and starts asking you about your TPS Reports, instead of reaching for the stress ball, reach for a bottle of
Elderberry Juice!

My experiment- Working out with and without beet juice.
Tuesday, May 25, 2010 by Natalie Hadley
So I tried a little experiment this past week.  I read on Biotta's main blog that beet juice is perfect for boosting stamina during times of physical activity.  They say that scientists suggest having some juice before working out and you can gain up to 16% more stamina!

I run on my treadmill just about every day. I try to do at least a couple miles every morning, just to stay active.  So I figured it wouldn't be too tough to test the theory of "Stamina &
beet juice."

I ran on the first day with just a bottle of water in me.  It was right when I hit the first mile that I found myself feeling a little worn, but I was able to finish 2.5 miles just fine... tired... but fine.

On the next day, I had a glass of beet juice an hour before I ran, and I made sure I didn't look down at the milage until the moment I started feeling worn down... and wouldn't you know?! When I felt worn, I had just hit 1.3 miles!

The next day, I had a glass of juice again and made it just fine to the 1.3 marker again!

Obviously, this could probably use some more testing, and there were other factors that could have played into my feeling different, but it was an interesting home experiment either way!

The whole world has been chatting about the latest and greatest piece of technology, the iPad!  It can do everything from acting as an e-reader, to surfing the web, to playing games, movies and music.

Beet Juice & Kidney Stones
Monday, May 24, 2010 by Jennifer C
I have an uncle who has long suffered from kidney stones.  It seems like every couple years he is stricken with a kidney stone so bad he can hardly function.

After recently reading an article on treating kidney stones, I now have some advice for him... Beet Juice!  According to
Helium.com, "Beets are known to help dissolve kidney stones."  When the juice goes through your system, it actually causes the stones to break down making it easier for them to pass.

Beets are one of the healthiest foods out there.  The benefits are constantly showing up in different areas of health.  Check out this
previous post on organic beet juice to see more details on benefits.

What is the Shelf Life of Biotta's Juice?
Sunday, May 23, 2010 by Jennifer C
Many people have asked about the shelf life of our juices here at Biotta.  Because vegetables are only harvested one time a year, we make sure to prepare our juices for the long haul.

All of our organic vegetable juice and fruit juice have a shelf life of 2 1/2 years!  In that time, it will be just as fresh as the day you bought it.

You may wonder how we achieve such a long shelf life:
  • Using non-gas-permeable bottles (glass)
  • Bottles are packaged in cartons and protected from light and dust
  • The juices are heated quickly and at a very low temperature, immediately cooled down allowing for the greatest possible retention of nutrients.
  • Through gentle processing using as few stages as possible
All of our fresh juices are packed full of essential vitamins and minerals that lead to a healthy lifestyle!  Looking for a place to buy some of Biotta's Juice, just click on the button below!

Recently, Hometown Station AM 1220 in Southern California posted a piece discussing the benefits of going to fresh juices over other drink possibilities.  Below I have included some highlights from the article:
  • Celery- The minerals contained in celery juice make the body better able to use calcium, balancing the blood's pH. Celery juice is thought to have a calming effect on the nervous system, and to reduce one's appetite for sweets.
  • Carrot- Carrot juice is an extremely rich source of beta carotene, which is converted by the body into pro-vitamin A (natural vitamin A). Vitamin A is essential for the normal development and health of many body tissues, including the skin and eyes.
  • Beet- Known as a blood builder and kidney purifier, beet juice is a good source of vitamin B-6 and minerals like chlorine, iron, sodium and potassium.
So there you have it!  The facts are everywhere: Including juices in your diet is one of the healthiest changes you can make to your lifestyle.

Beet Juice Makes Workouts Easier...
Wednesday, May 19, 2010 by Jennifer C
I have struggled for a long time trying to gain the motivation and the energy to go work out.  I always make the promise to myself, but just get too tired! I've tried plenty of different things to break the cycle and I haven't been able to find anything that provides the energy I need.

What a convenient time to find
this journal article published in The Journal of Applied Physiology that states that beet juice can boost your stamina and, in fact, "[The scientists] were amazed by the effects of beet juice on oxygen uptake because these effects cannot be achieved by any other known means, including training."
In other words, the nitrate in beet juice leads to a lowering in oxygen uptake, which in turn makes exercise less tiring!  The study also found that people who consumed the juice had a lower resting heart rate!

If you're looking for a swift kick to help your workout, why not look into a bottle of
Biotta's organic beet juice!
